Privacy Policy
Effective Date: September 4th, 2026
Tech of Eden® PBC, doing business as Tech of Eden® ("we," "our," or "us"), operates the Edenly® application and related services (collectively, the "Services"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use Edenly®. Please read this policy carefully to understand our practices regarding your information. By using Edenly®, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
a. Personal Information
We may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide, including but not limited to:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Profile information (such as photo, church affiliation, interests, or preferences)
- Messages, prayer requests, testimonies, and other content you choose to share
- AI feature inputs you choose to send, such as typed prompts, voice audio, transcripts, attachments, and relevant in-app context needed to fulfill your request
- Payment information (if applicable for donations or services)
b. Non-Personal Information
We may automatically collect certain information, including:
- Browser type and device type
- IP address
- Operating system
- App usage data and interactions
- Log files and error reports
- Cookies and analytics data (for web-based services)
c. Sensitive Information
Some information shared through Edenly® (such as prayer requests, testimonies, or counseling-related content) may be sensitive. This information is collected only when you voluntarily provide it and is treated with enhanced confidentiality and access controls.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and operate Edenly®'s features and services
- Enable community, prayer, and messaging functions
- Improve our services and user experience
- Communicate with you about updates, features, and service notices
- Provide customer support
- Send optional newsletters or marketing communications (with your consent)
- Maintain safety, prevent misuse, and enforce platform rules
- Support AI-assisted features consistent with user permissions and platform settings
- Generate AI-assisted chat, voice, routing, and workflow responses using the minimum data reasonably needed for the feature you invoke
3. AI Providers and Consent
Edenly® includes optional AI-assisted features. Before Edenly® sends personal data to a third-party AI provider for those features, we provide an in-app disclosure and ask for your permission.
These optional AI-assisted features may include Dovely® chat, Dovely® voice mode, prayer audio transcription, prayer request or response review, safety moderation, and similar assistant or workflow features that you choose to invoke.
Depending on the feature you use, the data sent may include your typed messages, prayer text, prayer responses, voice audio, transcripts, selected attachments, and relevant in-app context needed to fulfill your request or complete the safety, moderation, or transcription workflow. When reasonably possible, we minimize, redact, or anonymize data before sending it.
We may use third-party AI providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and other model, speech, or safety providers that support Edenly® features. We require or seek commercially reasonable contractual, technical, and organizational safeguards from these providers so that data they process for Edenly® receives the same or comparable protection to the protection we apply ourselves, where those safeguards are available for the relevant service.
When Edenly® describes other people to an AI provider, they are referred to as Person A, Person B, and so on, not by name.
If you do not consent, Edenly® will not send your personal data to third-party AI providers for those optional AI-assisted features, and those features may be unavailable to you.
Where you use the Artificial Conscience connector from a third-party AI platform (such as ChatGPT or Claude), the current request text is sent to Tech of Eden solely to determine whether relevant guidance applies. These requests are processed ephemerally, in memory only: we do not store, record, or log the text of connector prompts or the guidance returned for them. We retain only usage metering for the connector — token counts, processing cost, and latency — to operate and bill the service.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information only:
- With trusted service providers who help operate Edenly® (such as hosting, analytics, payment processors, and AI service providers used with your permission)
- When required by law or legal process
- To protect the rights, safety, and integrity of Tech of Eden® PBC, Edenly®, or our users
- With churches or church leaders only as permitted by your privacy and visibility settings
- In the event of a merger, acquisition, or transfer of assets
5. User Controls and Privacy Settings
Edenly® provides tools that allow you to:
- Choose who can view your content
- Control visibility of prayer requests or posts
- Manage connection and messaging preferences
- Edit or delete certain content
- Adjust communication and notification settings
- Grant or decline consent for optional AI-assisted features
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We may use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Monitor and analyze usage
- Improve performance
- Personalize user experience
You may disable cookies through your browser settings where applicable.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encryption and secure servers, to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to:
- Provide our Services
- Comply with legal obligations
- Resolve disputes
- Enforce agreements
You may request deletion of your data at any time.
Artificial Conscience connector prompts are not retained: they are processed in memory and discarded, with only usage metering kept (see Section 3).
9. Children's Privacy and Child Safety Standards
Edenly® is not intended for children under the age of 13 without parental or church supervision. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate consent. If such information is discovered, it will be deleted promptly.
a. Zero Tolerance for Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation
Edenly® strictly prohibits any content or conduct that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form (photos, videos, drawings, audio, text, or AI-generated content), grooming, sextortion, sexualization of minors, trafficking of minors, and sharing links to or instructions for finding any such material elsewhere. These standards apply to every surface of Edenly®: posts, replies, direct and group messages, prayer requests, profiles, Dovely® conversations, attachments, and any content generated with AI-assisted features.
b. Prevention and Moderation
Content shared through Edenly® and inputs to AI-assisted features pass through safety moderation designed to flag sexual content involving minors and other prohibited material. Flagged content is reviewed by our team under human oversight before enforcement decisions are made. Users control who can contact them and who can view their content through their visibility settings.
c. In-App Reporting
Anyone using Edenly® can report a concern without leaving the app: report a post, a reply, or a user from the options menu on that content or profile; block a user to immediately stop all contact and hide their content; or send a report through Help & Feedback in the Account menu. Reports involving child safety are prioritized over all other moderation work. Reports may also be sent directly to support@techofeden.com. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local law enforcement first.
d. Enforcement and Reporting to Authorities
When we identify a violation of these standards, we remove the content immediately, permanently terminate the responsible account, preserve relevant evidence as required by law, report apparent CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to the relevant regional and national authorities, and cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations. Tech of Eden® PBC complies with all applicable child safety laws, including United States federal reporting obligations for providers of electronic communication services, and with the child safety requirements of the app stores that distribute Edenly®.
e. Child Safety Point of Contact
Our designated child safety point of contact can speak to the practices described here and to our compliance with them: support@techofeden.com.
10. Your Rights
You may:
- Request access to your personal data
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Opt out of marketing communications
- Withdraw consent where applicable
To exercise these rights, contact us at: technology@techofeden.com
11. AI and Automated Features
Edenly® includes AI-assisted features to support community engagement and administrative tools. These systems operate under human oversight and user-defined permissions. Edenly® does not allow AI to make final decisions related to counseling, discipline, or church leadership matters.
