Tech of Eden® PBC, doing business as Tech of Eden® ("we," "our," or "us"), operates the Edenly® application and related services (collectively, the "Services"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use Edenly®. Please read this policy carefully to understand our practices regarding your information. By using Edenly®, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
a. Personal Information
We may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide, including but not limited to:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Profile information (such as photo, church affiliation, interests, or preferences)
- Messages, prayer requests, testimonies, and other content you choose to share
- AI feature inputs you choose to send, such as typed prompts, voice audio, transcripts, attachments, and relevant in-app context needed to fulfill your request
- Payment information (if applicable for donations or services)
b. Non-Personal Information
We may automatically collect certain information, including:
- Browser type and device type
- IP address
- Operating system
- App usage data and interactions
- Log files and error reports
- Cookies and analytics data (for web-based services)
c. Sensitive Information
Some information shared through Edenly® (such as prayer requests, testimonies, or counseling-related content) may be sensitive. This information is collected only when you voluntarily provide it and is treated with enhanced confidentiality and access controls.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and operate Edenly®'s features and services
- Enable community, prayer, and messaging functions
- Improve our services and user experience
- Communicate with you about updates, features, and service notices
- Provide customer support
- Send optional newsletters or marketing communications (with your consent)
- Maintain safety, prevent misuse, and enforce platform rules
- Support AI-assisted features consistent with user permissions and platform settings
- Generate AI-assisted chat, voice, routing, and workflow responses using the minimum data reasonably needed for the feature you invoke
3. AI Providers and Consent
Edenly® includes optional AI-assisted features. Before Edenly® sends personal data to a third-party AI provider for those features, we provide an in-app disclosure and ask for your permission.
These optional AI-assisted features may include Dovely® chat, Dovely® voice mode, prayer audio transcription, prayer request or response review, safety moderation, and similar assistant or workflow features that you choose to invoke.
Depending on the feature you use, the data sent may include your typed messages, prayer text, prayer responses, voice audio, transcripts, selected attachments, and relevant in-app context needed to fulfill your request or complete the safety, moderation, or transcription workflow. When reasonably possible, we minimize, redact, or anonymize data before sending it.
We may use third-party AI providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and other model, speech, or safety providers that support Edenly® features. We require or seek commercially reasonable contractual, technical, and organizational safeguards from these providers so that data they process for Edenly® receives the same or comparable protection to the protection we apply ourselves, where those safeguards are available for the relevant service.
If you do not consent, Edenly® will not send your personal data to third-party AI providers for those optional AI-assisted features, and those features may be unavailable to you.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information only:
- With trusted service providers who help operate Edenly® (such as hosting, analytics, payment processors, and AI service providers used with your permission)
- When required by law or legal process
- To protect the rights, safety, and integrity of Tech of Eden® PBC, Edenly®, or our users
- With churches or church leaders only as permitted by your privacy and visibility settings
- In the event of a merger, acquisition, or transfer of assets
5. User Controls and Privacy Settings
Edenly® provides tools that allow you to:
- Choose who can view your content
- Control visibility of prayer requests or posts
- Manage connection and messaging preferences
- Edit or delete certain content
- Adjust communication and notification settings
- Grant or decline consent for optional AI-assisted features

We may use cookies and similar technologies to:

Edenly® is not intended for children under the age of 13 without parental or church supervision. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate consent. If such information is discovered, it will be deleted promptly.

11. AI and Automated Features
Edenly® includes AI-assisted features to support community engagement and administrative tools. These systems operate under human oversight and user-defined permissions. Edenly® does not allow AI to make final decisions related to counseling, discipline, or church leadership matters.
12. Third-Party Services
Edenly® may link to or integrate with third-party services. Tech of Eden® PBC is not responsible for the privacy practices of those services. Please review their privacy policies separately.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the Effective Date above. Continued use of Edenly® after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
